Billericay 4 - 0 TULFC

Billericky 4 Thorpe Untied 0

After last weeks home win the long journey again seemed to take its toll on the girls, who failed to cope with Billericky’s bright early start with good passing and movement. With a strong wind behind them the hosts opened the scoring after 10 minutes and soon added another to make it 2-0. Thorpe were being over run defensively but Kirsty made a series of stunning saves to keep the score respectable. Towards the break Thorpe came into the game a little more and Sophie had a couple of half chances.

The second half was even for a while and united almost got back into the game when Charlotte burst through and knocked the ball past the keeper, who the clattered into Charlotte, there was no penalty, but a free kick the other way.

Again Thorpe began to fade 20 minutes from time and Billericky got on top again, but more good work from Kirsty kept them out; however an extraordinarly long second half saw Thorpe conceed two more late goals.
