Thorpe United Ladies Football Club

The under 11s started their season with a home game against Kirkley & Pakefield. Thorpe started brightly but fell behind after 5 mins when a loose ball in the area was cleared and Kirkley were able to tap in. 1-0 soon become 2-0 as Thorpe once again failed 2 clear a routine ball leaving the Kirkley striker to lob into an empty net .
 Tubs soon made changes & clearly wasn't happy. The girls reacted and went on the attack with a great pass from Davina sending Chloe clean through to score 2-1 at half time.
 
 The Second half started the same as the first, a sloppy 10 mins allowed Kirkley to make it 4-1 after what can only be described as arsenal style defending.
 
 The girls then finally woke up and started to play football & attack and a throw in from davina caused problems for the goal keeper who some how pushed the ball into her own net 4-2. Thorpe kept going and another great strike from Chloe made in 4-3 with 5 mins to go ! Thorpe kept attacking but ran out of time , a poor first half but better second Half performance.
