A rather depleted Thorpe side through injury & illness put up a decent show against Stevenage but faded in the second half when the hosts took advantage of their superior strength. Thorpe went behind early but equalised when sophie,s shot was deflected in having been set up wiyh some good work from charlotte. United seemed to have the upper hand at this point but when they came out for the second half they couldn’t match Stevenage who scored twiuce more to claim the points. P.o.m r.lake

Thorpe dominated this cup matchj but couldn’t convert any of their early chances with sophie, charlotte & becky all going close. Haringey looked dangerous on the break but the defence coped well led by Hannah & megan. The only goal of the game came at the start of the second half when good work by ida saw her cross bravely headed in by lisa-marie.Again with no subs available it was a battle to the end for Thorpe but they held on to win & set up a match with Norwich reserves in the next round.
